The Irvine Gold Mine (IGM) was founded in 1979 at its current storefront location. The Company grew early on, based on its dedication to strong customer service. We have maintained that focus & place a great emphasis on servicing existing business, as well as on new business and referrals. It is satisfying to have sold a young couple their engagement ring and now be helping their kids select a holiday gift for their parents! There are basically two main divisions of the Company:

     Within the Rare Coin Industry we have achieved a high degree of success and national recognition by having assembled a strong team of numismatic experts. Greg Krill, as the chief numismatist on staff is a member of the exclusive Professional Numismatists Guild, an organization of the top 600 or so industry leaders who adhere to a strict code of ethics and who have been strongly established for many years within the business.      Greg additionally served for four years as the President of the Southern California Professional Numismatic Assoc. (a trade group of Dealers in this region). He is also a lifetime member of The American Numismatic Association and the Central States Numismatic Society. His advice is often sought out by both clients and those within the industry for his opinions and expertise on matters related to the grading of rare coins. IGM was one of the first Companies to become an authorized dealer for the Professional Coin Grading service and, The Numismatic Guarantee Corporation. (The largest independent third party grading services in the industry). The Company has also been a longtime member and supporter of The Industry Council for Tangible Assets. If one were to visit a major coin show in the United States it is likely that they would be able to meet members of our staff as we are represented with a table or booth regularly at all the major shows. It is here that we look forward to meeting for the first time many of our customers that live around the country. We do a great deal of both buying and selling at the shows with customers and dealers alike.

     We have a total of five rare coins specialists on staff who have a combined 125+ years experience. Greg, Ted, John, William, and Stuart are available and always eager to talk to people who share their passion for coins and precious metals. In keeping with our Company policy that emphasizes the customer, we are happy to spend time with both the serious investor and with the 9 year old who is working on his cent collection for a boy scout merit badge!

     One great advantage that our customers have is that our markup on rare coins is usually in the 10% to 15% range. This is in contrast to the common markup of 25% to 40% found at many large CO's in the industry. Our price markup on bullion is often only 1% to 3% which again gives our customers the benefits of both price competitiveness and expertise.

     We sell a wide variety of fine jewelry from traditional engagement rings, to colored gemstone jewelry to custom designed pieces in platinum and gold. We have one of the top craftsman in the industry and we design and manufacture new pieces, as well as re-style and expertly repair old ones all on site.
